Ed has experience in offshore boat racing and many track days. This will be his first foray into wheel to wheel racing, however, having played on the PGA tour, Ed is no stranger to close competition. Ed is one of the officers of the Patron Spirits Co. and in his spare time he is active in many charities and spends time with his wife.
Laura Olson
Costa Mesa, CA
Laura started racing 1997 at the SCCA driver's school at Firebird Raceway in a 1987 Honda CRX GT-4. She has won 3 regional championships. Laura got her first racing Miata in 2000, and attended her 1st Runoffs in 2001. In 2005 she finished 2nd in the Southern Pacific Divisional SSB Championship and qualified and finished 8th out of 40 cars at the Runoffs. In 2006, Laura finished 2nd in Southern Pacific Divisional Championship and has built new '06 MX-5 for SSB. This season she has finished in the Top 5 in all races and is leading the Southern Pacific Divisional Championship with 4 wins and two 2nds. When asked what she likes to do outside racing Laura responds "Is there anything else besides racing?"
